Overview:

After owning my X-Carve for 2 years and trying all the upgrade options that were feasible and did not rhyme with more-mach, I started developing my screw drive system. It was just a proof of concept, but when applied to reality seemed to perform quite well. So I sat down and rode my CAD into the ground. I first started with 1/4” MDF to test tolerances and fits. But no success. Things kept getting in the way. The rail, the limit switch, the v-wheels, the drag chain, the y plates and even the bearing and bearing holder!

But after some help and a few (currently 18) iterations, i managed to hit the sweet spot of reliability, repeatability, adjust-ability and cheap upkeep. That is where we were when I first pushed version (17.2.0) to market in 2017, however due to some legal tie ups was delayed quite a bit from releasing (18.2.0) until 2018. Once the legal matters were cleared up i released 18.2.0 to the market and now have a nice group of happy carvers.
